Congratulations, Dr. Chapman on your selection to the Academy of Medical Educators at UCSF!

Dr. Chapman is an Associate Professor in the Division of Palliative Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, with dual appointments in the Department of Medicine and Surgery. She primarily cares for patients on the inpatient Palliative Medicine Services and in the Surgical ICU. She is Co-Director of Primary Palliative Care Education for the Division of Palliative Medicine, and her non-clinical interests focus on the intersection of surgery, critical care, and palliative medicine as well as the integration of palliative care principles into the training and practice of surgeons and critical care clinicians. For this work, she was awarded the Cambia Sojourns Scholar Leadership Award and works nationally to formalize palliative care tenets in the care of surgical and critically ill patients.
