Faculty Development

Our Division is committed to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for faculty and trainees through a robust mentorship program. We utilize a combination of assigned and matched mentorships, providing ongoing support and development opportunities for all levels, from junior faculty to senior leadership.  Our mentoring program, like our Division overall, is committed to transdisciplinary work.  In addition to our programs in Medicine, our mentoring program is working with Divisional leadership in Chaplaincy, Nursing, and Social Work to customize resources for each profession. DPM initiatives include:

  • Structured Mentorship: Formal mentorship pairings with regular meetings, focused on career development and professional growth.
  • Informal Mentorship: Encouraging peer-to-peer learning and collaboration through social events and informal networking opportunities.
  • Diverse Resources: Offering access to a range of external resources and workshops for professional development, leadership training, and DEI initiatives.
  • Personalized Support: Tailoring support to meet the unique needs of both high-performing individuals and those seeking additional guidance. We actively address challenges and provide remediation as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluating our program through feedback, surveys, and data analysis to ensure it meets the evolving needs of our community.
