25 Years of Service

DPM Timeline

Since the launch of the Inpatient Palliative Care Service at Parnassus on March 9, 1999, we have been providing high quality, interprofessional palliative care to our seriously ill patients and their families. Our program was among one of the first in the nation and the first Palliative Care service at UCSF.

GIVE TODAY

Our division of nurses, social workers, chaplains, administrative and research staff, and physicians launched in 2018 has more than doubled in size and our hope is for continued growth so we can care for more patients, teach more learners, and make more discoveries, and implement more innovations to improve care and quality of life for people with serious illness.
