We’re excited that you are considering joining our fellowship! We welcome all applications from qualified candidates. If you have any questions about the application process after reading the information below, please do not hesitate to contact us.

To Apply

Our five (5) available adult categorical positions, one (1) position in our Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and one (1) combined Geriatrics/Palliative Care position for the class matriculating in July will be filled through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP, The “Match”). Candidates can begin submitting applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) on July 1st.

To begin your application, please follow the ERAS Fellowships Documents Office instructions found here. Please be sure to register with both ERAS and NRMP in order to be eligible for the Match. You can register with NRMP by going to the NRMP Website. Please note you will need to use your AAMC ID from your ERAS application to register for the NRMP.

UCSF can sponsor J-1 and H-1B visas through our International Students and Scholars Office.

For more information about the combined Geriatrics/Palliative Care program, please contact Lynn Flint. The GeriPal NRMP Program Code is 1062151F1.

Before submitting your application through NRMP, please familiarize yourself with the match agreements.

Our NRMP Program Codes are 1062540F0 (Adult) and 1062540F1 (Pediatrics).
