Inpt Pall Care NP Per Diem

Erin Levardo earned her Bachelor's of Science in Biopsychology from University of California, Santa Barbara, her Master's of Science in Nursing from University of San Francisco, and her Family Nurse Practitioner post-master's certificate from Sonoma State University. She has worked as a registered nurse at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG) in medical/surgical, Acute Care for Elders (ACE) and medical/behavior units. She has also enjoyed working as a Nurse Practitioner in Orthopedic Surgery and the Adult Urgent Care Clinic at ZSFG. The patients there hold a special place in her heart, but she was captivated by teaching. Erin has lectured Basic Medical Surgical Nursing at City College of San Francisco and worked as a Clinical Nurse Educator for UCSF's Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) prior to transitioning to full-time faculty in the School of Nursing at UCSF. After much thoughtful consideration, Erin decided it was time to pursue her passion for quality palliative care, where she can combine her love of patient care and education. In her role as a Nurse Practitioner on the Inpatient Hospice Service, she is able to educate colleagues, patients and families about the inpatient hospice service and end of life care while providing high quality, patient centered care to alleviate suffering and promote quality time when it matters most. Erin shares that the opportunity to support colleagues, families and patients through this transitional and deeply profound time is an honor and a privilege.
