Assistant Professor

Dr. Nouri is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Palliative Medicine. She specializes in caring for people with serious illness in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. Dr. Nouri's research is focused on increasing access to high quality palliative care, particularly among socioeconomically disadvantaged populations. Her current scholarly work uses mixed methods to better understand outcomes associated with digital health use in palliative care and to develop strategies to improve in-home symptom assessment for older adults with serious illness and their caregivers. She is committed to mentoring learners. Dr. Nouri is a member of the San Francisco Palliative Care Workgroup's Steering Committee and of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
