Palliative Care Chaplain

Sarah completed her chaplain residency and internship in palliative care at UCSF. Previously, she completed a year-long practicum as an oncology chaplain at Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School where she focused her studies on meaning-making, death and dying, contemplative care, and resilience. While earning her M.Div., she was an intern and summer minister with the Unitarian Universalists of Wellesley. She received her BA in the Study of Women and Gender at Smith College. Before becoming a clinical healthcare chaplain, Sarah worked with adolescent survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and as an aide to a member of California’s congressional delegation.
