Palliative Care Chaplain
Sarah recently completed her chaplain residency and an internship in palliative care at UCSF. Previously, she completed a year-long internship as an oncology chaplain at Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School where she focused her studies on meaning-making, death and dying, contemplative care, and resilience. While earning her M.Div., she was an intern and summer minister with the Unitarian Universalists of Wellesley. She received her BA in the Study of Women and Gender at Smith College. Before becoming a clinical healthcare chaplain, Sarah worked as a residential supervisor at an adolescent residential treatment center and intern and staff assistant to Congresswoman Barbara Lee, 13th Congressional District, Oakland, California.
