Clinical Social Worker, Palliative Care Service

Chelsea earned her master’s degree at the University of Michigan School of Social Work after completing her clinical internship with the Inpatient Hematology Service. She has served in various social work capacities within and outside of the hospital setting, including: crisis and trauma intervention, community service connection, clinical hospital social work, and now palliative care practice.

Most recently, Chelsea has completed the CSU Shiley Institute Post-MSW Certificate in Palliative Care, as well as intensive training to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).

Chelsea is passionate about addressing the impact of social and psychological determinants of health, practicing whole-person care, studying transdisciplinary teamwork, and promoting advocacy for end of life needs of patients and families. Her research interests include trauma-informed care, psychotherapy modalities in palliative care practice, and quality improvement for transdisciplinary palliative care practice.
